Long Life for All is the theme for this year’s World Vaccination Week

24.04.2022

World Immunization Week – celebrated in the last week of April (24 to 30 April) – aims to promote the use of vaccines to protect people of all ages against disease. Immunization saves millions of lives every year and is widely recognized as one of the world’s most successful and cost-effective health interventions.

This year’s theme for the vaccination week is Long Life for All. Infectious diseases can be serious, they can cause difficult sequelae and even be fatal. Vaccinations protect against infectious diseases and alleviate suffering caused by the diseases as well as their sequelae and complications. Additionally vaccinations have a significant role in decreasing infant mortality.
